ABOUT THE COURSE:
“The observation of nature is part of an artist’s life, it enlarges his form and knowledge, keeps him fresh and from working only by formula, and feeds inspiration.” – Henry Moore
The day’s course will incorporate a talk outlining the essence of the “understanding”, and will incorporate:
• Learning the Look/See/Talk principals
• Basic techniques and technical aspects
• Lens choice and framing
• Reading and using the light
Course rules:
There will be no debate as to the relative merits of Nikon or Canon, or of the desirability of dual card slots, or about which lens is tack-sharp.
What to bring:
- Any device that is suitable for recording or capturing visual images… preferably digitally.
- An open, inquiring mind.
- A desire to make better images.
- As we’ll be walking out in the garden we recommend that you bring sturdy walking shoes/boots, plus headgear, and sunscreen. It can get chilly, so please also bring some sort of windbreaker/jacket. Dressing in layers is the key.
- Morning and afternoon teas and refreshment will be provided, but please bring your own light packed lunch.
