“Look See Talk” is a photography course with a difference.

From Michelangelo and Monet, to Mozart and Mantovani, to Maradona and Messi… and all the masters of craft in between… they were all technical masters. But what allowed them to reach their great heights was also due to the understanding of what it takes to elevate their work beyond technical mastery into poetry.

Now, we’re not arrogant enough to claim similar status as the Masters, however, after our many years of being commissioned by, and producing imagery for major clients internationally, we believe we have some insight into the creative process of making images, and we feel that others might benefit from our experience. The idea of a course, “Look See Talk” was born.

Researching the “Photography Course” market, by far the majority teach the technical aspects… and literally hundreds of those can be found on YouTube. Whilst technical aspects will be discussed, “Look See Talk” is rather more focussed on you, the photographer.

The course is designed as an exploration of “Who, Why, What, How and When?”… to provide guidance to photographers wanting to expand their craft. It is more about understanding why you want to make images, and empowering you with a mindset that looks for, and sees unique image potential, and captures images in a way that tells, and sells a story.

Presented by renowned international photographers, Barry Downard and Patrick Flanagan, “Look See Talk” is all about discovering how to become a better photographer by providing you with the foundation on which to make better, story-telling images.

Patrick and Barry have a collective 80-year experience of professionally working as photographers and image-makers… and story-tellers. They will look to share the knowledge gained from working internationally with top Creative Directors, ad agencies, Art Editors, and publishing houses.

The course will cover technical aspects, but is more about understanding why you want to make images, and empowering you with a mindset that looks for, and sees unique image potential, and captures them in a way that tells a story.
